Hatfield House & St. Albans Cathedral with a lovely lunch!

We left London in one of our luxury S Class Mercedes Benz limousines with our clients, a couple from New York. An hour later our first stop was at the historic market town of St. Albans to enjoy a light breakfast and coffee before we enjoyed the delights of the ancient Cathedral of St. Albans. A truly awe inspiring building , dating back to Saxon times , if only the walls could speak! What luck a choir was in rehearsal as we paid homage to the shrine of St. Alban himself.

It was now time for some lunch so we made our way to one of the local hostelries. After a wonderful meal on to 17 th Century house at Hatfield. Parts of the estate are from 1490 and we imagine the spot where a young Queen Elizabeth heard of her sisters death and her won assent to the throne. The house is a masterpiece of Jacobean decadence and after we explored the house our afternoon was spent in the beautiful gardens. After a refreshing tea it was time to return to London.
