Museums at Night takes off Thursday 27 October!
Museums at Night is the UK-wide festival of Lates in museums and galleries, produced by Culture24, the Brighton-based arts charity dedicated to shining a light on Britain’s sparkling culture and heritage.
Haunted at the Medieval Banquet
Go back in time to experience Halloween in the shadows of the past at The Medieval Banquet’s themed dinner. Everyone knows that King Henry’s got a fair few skeleton in his closet, and he’s ready to introduce his guests to them with the help of his dead wives and many ex-employees. Dancing wenches, contortionists, minstrels, and knights are all on the guest list. Wear your spookiest costume and head into their underground feasting hall for a four-course dinner of meats, paté and pies. There’ll be plenty of witches’ brew (plus unlimited wine and beer) and some 500-year-old scary stories. Click here for more information
Fear In The Dark
An evening of storytelling in the cemetery, inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe, HP Lovecraft, Sheridan Le Fanu and MR James. Follow a man as he navigates the dark labyrinthine woods, brimming with tales that must be told. Suitable for over 18s only. Some parts of the performance take place in total darkness. Jack The Ripper – Halloween Special Tours
This tour runs every day of the year, but on Monday 31st October 2016, it’s a spectacular event, going to be the best Halloween tour in London. During the autumn of 1888, a mysterious murderer known only as Jack the Ripper, stalked and killed at least five women in the Whitechapel area of East London. Evidence was collected, and there were even witnesses to some of the crimes – as well as many other unsolved killings attributed to the Ripper.
Unlike other Halloween tours in London, this Jack the Ripper event takes place in the heart of the haunting East End, known around the world for the notorious killers and historical figures that have lived here – both in the flesh and in fiction. Expect sinister twists and turns at every corner, and a night of shock and horror for all. Click here to book!
