We met our clients, a couple from LA at their central London hotel at 9am and then we made our by M/Benz S Class limousine luxury to the sleepy village of Bampton to see all the outside location shots for Downton Abbey. An hour and a half later we were there having a mid morning coffee and being delighted by all the instantly recognizable buildings and streets from the tv drama. We even toured the small museum in the village library ( cottage hospital ) before lunch. We dined at the fabulous Trout Inn on the banks of the River Thames before making our way on to Highclere Castle the magnificent stately home usead as the back drop for the series. As you can imagine my clients had a wonderful time touring the house and grounds for the rest of afternoon. Time for some tea and scones before we left to make our way home.
Even Mrs. Crawley would have approved!
