“Ancient academia, wonder & beauty”

Tour Highlights: Collegiate Oxford & Cambridge, punting on the river, wonderful gardens and breathtaking architecture.

A wonderful day spent touring the ancient 13th century colleges of the most famous and prestigious Universities in the World.

Our day commences in the heart of the historical yet compact city of Oxford. The home of English education for over 800 years. We tour the most beautiful of the 38 colleges that make up the University Campus. Most founded between the 13th & 16th centuries. Naturally we tour the most famous and significant colleges. We visit sacred gardens, ancient dining halls and chapels; we witness the locations of where some of our leading scholars, authors and politicians have spent their most formative years.

After a picturesque drive we then arrive in the beautiful city of Cambridge. The city was founded by the Romans in early times but came to prominence in 1209, when scholars from Oxford founded the University. Student life now dominates this beautiful city. We tour the most historic and important colleges before we join the current scholars for a “punt” on the River Cam while we take afternoon tea and champagne.

As with all our tours, if our most popular tour schedules do not suit your specific requirements, please allow us to create a customised itinerary especially for you. We always remember the day is yours to cherish.

“Oliver- Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed your services on our recent UK visit. After last year’s experience, we expected the very best from you and your people and you delivered just that, big time. It was particularly pleasant to have the same driver for each leg of our trip. Danny was an excellent companion and driver. It wasn’t easy negotiating the narrow Dorset lanes in the big BMW, but he never gave us a bad moment. He was also a tactful man, knowing when to chat and when to stay silent, a quality we valued. He was most ingenious at Charing Cross, where the car park was closed and he had to keep driving around, until we were off the train. He was in constant touch with us by phone and we found him without any difficulty, managing to stop very conveniently for us, directly across the road by St Pancras. Our thanks to you (and Danny) for making a difficult itinerary luxurious and smooth. Sincerely yours, Martin Maurice.” Read more testimonials
