“Mortar boards and clerics”

Tour Highlights: Ely Cathedral, East Anglican countryside, Blickling Hall, Cambridge University Campus and The River Cam.

We start our day early and make our way to Ely Cathedral. This magnificent building can trace it’s heritage back to early Saxon times to 670 AD and was the home to an order of Benedictine monks for many years.

After dining at the ancient monastic refectory we journey on to Blickling Hall, the finest example of a Jacobean country manor house in England and childhood home of Anne Boleyn. The house boasts many wonderful tapestries and even masterpieces by Gainsborough.

After a picturesque drive we arrive in the city of Cambridge. The city was founded by the Romans in early times but came to prominence in the 13th Century, when scholars from Oxford founded the University. Student life now dominates this beautiful city. The University has 31 colleges, the oldest, Peterhouse founded in 1284. Clustered around the city centre we explore the most important and significant before we join the current scholars for a “punt” on the River Cam while we take afternoon tea and champagne.

“We had the most amazing experience with Wilson Chauffeur Services!! Every detail of our needs was met! My husband required mobility assistance and there was never a question or a problem with his needs. From our arrival at Heathrow to the last day of our tour we had the very best experiences possible! Jay, our driver was very knowledgeable and so enjoyable. Oliver did most of the “guiding” while Jay did the driving was extremely helpful and “fun”! All in all it was an experience we will never forget! I would recommend their services to anyone and everyone who wanted to see London or anywhere at it’s best! We can’t thank them enough!
