Versailles is without doubt the most magnificent palace in the world. The sheer opulence and beauty of this breathtaking edifice must be witnessed. The Chateau symbolises the zenith of French power, influence and taste. Your private tour takes you to the most sublime parts of this huge palace and gardens.

The present palace, started by Louis XIV in 1668, grew around Louis XIII`s original hunting lodge. The innovative architect Louis de Vau built the first section, which expanded into an enlarged courtyard. From 1678, Jules Hardouin-Mansart added north and south wings and the Hall of Mirrors. He also designed the chapel, completed in 1710. The Opera House was added by Louis XV in 1770. The gardens were then enlarged and broke the monotony of the symmetrical layout with expanses of water and creative use of uneven ground.

Depending on the time you have available we can even tour Paris in the morning and then make our way out to Versailles in the afternoon.

As with all our tours, if our most popular tour schedules do not suit your specific requirements, please allow us to create a customised itinerary especially for you. We always remember the day is yours to cherish.

“Hello Oliver, My mother Rosalind and I so enjoyed our day out at Blenheim and the Cotswolds. The itinerary was perfect — just loved everything we did and saw. And you and Jay were terrific chaperones! I am putting together a photo album of our London holiday and have realized that I did not get a photo of you and Jay with our luxurious Merc. If you two are going to be together soon, would you mind sending me a photo of the two of you in front of the car? If you are not going to be together soon, perhaps you can send me separate photos. Would so appreciate it. Already thinking about what my adventure will be with my husband and son when we are next in London Many thanks again for a great day! Best, Alison Kallman” Read more testimonials
